Hiya Corey, I see that some of the journal impacts factors presented here are from last year. Might you please update them so all those many people who read your blog can have the most up-to-date information. Keep up the good work!

Please don’t be surprised if your paper gets rejected from “Studies in Conservation” as it is the Journal of The International Institute For Conservation Of Historic And Artistic Works.

I thought they did some ‘environmental’ conservation, but perhaps not. Thanks – I’ll remove the journal from my list.

It looks like you have switched the descriptions of Global Change Biology with Insect Conservation and Diversity.

On a separate note: Unfortunately this community lacks an open source frontiers/trends/letters in conservation science (e.g., PLoS Conservation) — and paying for occasional open access isn’t what I am referring to here — rather a community with commensurate body of work dedicated to getting timely ideas and findings accessed globally.

Thanks – missed that. Yes, we need a better publication model. I reckon eventually everything will be OA, but our funding models need to change for this to happen (I can’t afford to pay $2000 for every article I publish without an explicit funding stream dedicated to that purpose).
